Deli Stromboli

Not really any time to post today, so how about a recipe. We love this with a simple salad and a glass (or two) of wine... Enjoy

Deli Stromboli

2 tubes refrigerated french bread
1/2 lb. sliced deli ham, divided
1/4 lb. sliced hard salami, divided
1/4 lb. sliced pepperoni, divided
1/4 lb. sliced mozzarella cheese, divided
1/4 lb. sliced provolone cheese
1 c green pepper, sliced thin
1/3 c. hot pepper rings
1 onion, sliced thin
Mayo and Mustard

Roll bread dough out on a lightly greased baking sheet to completely cover the bottom. Spread with mayo and musturd mixed together. Layer 1/4 pound meat, a cheese and then a vegetable; continue for 3 layers, ending with a layer of remaining ham. Fold dough back over top, envelope-style; pinch edges closed, making sure all ingredients are tucked inside. Repeat with remaining Bread dough. Bake at 425 degrees until golden, about 17 to 25 minutes; let stand 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. Makes 2. Serves 8.

Cooks Notes: You really, really need the onion and green pepper in this recipe (unless of course you don't like them?) I keep some chopped and ready in the freezer that way I always have them even if they are not fresh.
